Not exactly what you were looking for?

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for challenging and unique yacht-building projects. You’ll collaborate with various disciplines and play a key role in bridging the gaps between engineering, planning, and teamwork. From the initial phase through to completion, you’ll ensure that the project runs smoothly and that all parties involved work together toward the same end result.

Your Role as Project Manager

As a project manager, you’re the linchpin of the construction process from start to completion, and you’re in charge of all parties involved, including clients, architects, subcontractors, and your own staff. You ensure that information reaches the right people and that deadlines are met. You coordinate the work with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers. You keep everyone on the same page and effortlessly adapt your communication style.

What are you going to do?

As a project manager, you are responsible for the quality, scheduling, and budget of the construction process, and you prepare reports for the client. You are involved in all aspects of yacht building, from installation engineering and mechanical systems to propulsion, aluminum hull construction, interiors, electrical systems, and sail systems. Together with the project team, you ensure that all these disciplines work together seamlessly. You provide direction to the project team, create the right conditions, and foster collaboration and teamwork by utilizing your coaching and mentoring skills. You adapt quickly, respond effectively to new developments, and ensure that knowledge and experience are shared within the team. In addition, you contribute to the professional development of your colleagues. You are familiar with various drafting software, such as AutoCAD, and are able to interpret technical drawings accurately.

What are we looking for?

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field.
You have experience in yacht or shipbuilding.
You are able to work in a systematic and organized manner.
You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.
You have an interest in sailing.
You have a strong sense of responsibility and excel at working in a process-oriented manner.
You have strong analytical skills, are results-oriented, and are good at assessing risks.
You’re quick on your feet and can oversee a process from start to finish.
You are flexible in your communication and are a good listener; you know how to ask follow-up questions and read between the lines.
You are empathetic and have a good sense of when to take decisive action or, conversely, when to give people space.

What do we offer?

A dynamic and energetic work environment in a fantastic and unique industry.
Opportunities for initiative and self-development, with plenty of training and development opportunities.
You think on your feet and guide the process from start to finish to a successful conclusion.
Excellent primary and secondary benefits, including a customized salary structure.
